You know what I love? Snow days with the Kiddo.
I am keenly aware that these are short-lived. He’s 16, and my main job right now is to help him be independent. We talk about college and where he wants to live and what professions he’s considering. Very adult stuff.
Gimme a day in pajamas, some baked goods, side-by-side work, and a couple of B-movies. Every time.
I know how few of these days there are left. Time has already started zipping by.
I choose to hold on to them, to focus on them, to expand time. I’ll get over shoveling and clearing. I’ll make up the hours at work.
THIS is what I can’t get back. This moment in snow.
